dont see why not, sure some of them are better than usual families

I believe in the fact that if the couple are loving parents then why should they be stopped just because of gender. My brother is gay and through him I've met lots of gay people (both male & female) that would make better parents than half the straight couples out there. The rights of guy couples should be just as good as straight people regarding children. I mean all a child really needs is loving family and a secure home.
In regards to needing both male and female parents, I feel this is not true, I was raised by my mother while my father either worked away from home or speant his time in pub drinking and then sleeping it off. So in way I never really had father figure, but I had happy childhood and was raised properly.

Hmmm, OK human rights and all that jazz. I understand that gay men and women would love children and I also acknowledge that they did not "ask" to be gay. I also acknowlegde that they're all quite happy being gay, just as I am happy being who I am. I cannot doubt that gay parents would not be good parents just as families with a mother and a father.
But has anyone thought of the child. The child I think, should have a reasonable expectation to be raised having a mother and a father. Take it back a few million years, how would it go if two gay chimps decided they wanted to "have" a child. Sorry, biology prohibits you.
As far as what "God" might want, let's leave "Him" out of it. Let's get back to the child. The child needs a mother and a father. We've stuffed around too much with evolution, let's keep it simple.
I'm not having a shot at homosexuals. My boss is one and she is a great boss and a nice person. I have no real opinion about this until gay people then want children via adoption or IVF or whatever. Then we're going where we shouldn't be.

Oooooooooooo have you asked the million £ question.
do you mean gay?
a family with two men?
if the child knows the difference between what god wants from mankind & believe me some do know that gay union is deemed unacceptable in gods eyes.
putting them with two guys ( or two women ) by The State & telling them this is normal is sending the wrong message.

i read recently of a Catholic child who's suing the state for placing her with Protestant parents.
the outcome of which has been media-blocked, so i'm guessing the Social Services Dept in this instant lost the case.

a child with two loving, caring & protective parents ( regardless of gender ) is better than none!

praps in time the controversy that surrounds gay union & adoption will go.
as they have the option of IVF & surrogacy, these couples can & do have children
are as equally monitored by The State as any parents are.
only time will tell.

I have never really used to agree with this because I always believe a child needs a father figure and a mother figure.
But now, If gay people can bring up a child and give it a good loving life then whats the problem.
I mean..... I bet there a lot of gay people that can give child a lot more and better life than straight people.

yes, the only thing is they will lack a mother. As long as they are around some sort of female as well, they should be fine. There is nothing wrong with same sex relationships/marriages having children. I believe it makes them feel more complete just like a husband and wife.

well its a very complicated topic, you have to see it from both sides of the situation, i honestly dont know if i am for or against but at the same time i can see why some people are for and others are against

I think anyone who can give love and teach good values can be a good parent, so why not a gay couple?

If they want too, I say go for it. Why shouldn't they?
They are human too, you know. They should have all the same rights as everybody else.
