why do they call it butterflies?

They are the same and they call it butterflies because it feels like butterflies fluttering in your stomach.
What is your point in asking this? Whats happened? (sorry I'm curious)

I get butterflies in my stomach as a warning that a complex partial seizure is on the way. If you're getting butterflies totally unexpectedly, it may be worth looking into this as a possibility. Otherwise butterflies are a sign of nervousness, yes.

they call itn butterflies because your body is telling you whether it is good or bad.. like when you get good or bad vibes from someone. butterflies is just your body way of being nervous and they call it butterflies because of the feeling most ppl get.
