I know someone who broke his wrist recently and he worksout (does pushups etc.). He's worried that he'll lose his muscle he gained cause of not being able to workout. How long will it take his wrist to heal? What should i tell him?

I have had broken leg for 8 months (just go cast off last week) and its still not healed. I had a lot of muscle and i have lost and inch of it all over the leg.
His wrist is not gona take that long to heal but he will lose muscle - you start losing muscle actually about 48 hours after not using it.
Tell him not to work out with that arm and let it heal otherwise it will not heal properly and will take much longer time for recovery.
He has a chance now to work on his legs and glutes:-)

I had a cast on mine for 7 weeks. After I got it off it still took 3 months for me to comfortably work out again
