Though - I do not agree with the Theology of the Watchtower Witnesses - I do know some good friends who follow this religion - who are also in the Military! AND they have not been disfellowshipped for being in the Military full time - defending the country they so stronly believe in. So to Danny Haszard
People MUST realize that the Watchtower Organizations and all their pamphlets/tracts have been changed over the years so...many times; thus all the many tracts over the years have contradicted each other

How can one put their Faith & Confidence
in an Organization which changes from month to month. *The Watchtower Organization even created their own personal version of the Holy Bible (the New World Translation) to attempt to prove their false doctrines and teachings...so sad.

*"Jesus Christ -the Word of God- is the same yesterday, today, and forever!" Jesus-the Word-changes not!" *Heb. 13:8; Jn. 1:1-5;14

Stick with the Holy Word of God {excluding the New World Translation of the Watchtower Witnesses).

Those who have gone up to Jehovah’s holy mountain, (his pure worship), have put away all racial, tribal, and political hatreds; they literally ‘learn war no more.’—Isaiah 2:2-4.

Although Jehovah’s Witnesses do not worship the flag, or join in singing Nationa Anthems, they do respect both. A National Anthem often is, in effect, a hymn or a prayer set to music, and in many, religious feeling is blended with patriotic sentiment. Actually, patriotic songs express the same fundamental ideas that are embodied in the pledge of allegiance to the flag. Since there is no Scriptural basis for the nationalistic pride that has so divided our world, we do not join in singing songs that extol any earthly nation.—Acts 17:26; John 17:15, 16.

No to both. They take a neutral stand on all things political and nationalistic and there is no compromising those beliefs. In fact, if a JW doesn't stand firm on such beliefs, he/she will be disfellowshipped (kicked out) and ostracized from everyone at the Kingdom Hall.

Around the globe, Jehovah's Witnesses respect the governments and flags under which they live. However, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that true Christianity is incompatible with military service.

(Matthew 26:52) Jesus said to him: “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword

(Isaiah 2:4) They will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.

(2 Corinthians 10:3-4) We do not wage warfare according to what we are in the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly

(Luke 6:27-29) I [Jesus] say to you who are listening, Continue to love your enemies, to do good to those hating you, to bless those cursing you, to pray for those who are insulting you. To him that strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also

Willing participation in ceremonies involving national anthems approximate "nation worship" and constitute non-neutrality. Jehovah's Witnesses understand the bible to teach that Almighty God requires exclusive devotion; that is, he requires that worship and unrestricted allegiance belong to Him alone.

(Exodus 20:5) I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion

(Matthew 4:10) Then Jesus said... ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’

Of course, Jehovah's Witnesses are well-known as law-abiding persons. The Scriptures also teach that obedience is owed to secular governments, which the bible calls "the superior authorities". Of course, such subjection is RELATIVE to the unrestricted allegiance which is owed to God.

(Romans 13:1) Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God

(Acts 5:29) We must obey God as ruler rather than men

It may be helpful for non-Witnesses to read all of Daniel chapter 3, and note the connections between the ceremony described there and modern pledge of allegiance.

1. No - They are conscientious objectors to war

These wars are man made and not of God by their definition.
Be in the world but not part of it is what they are taught.

2. No - They do not support any national government.

They are taught their allegiance is to God but really it is the WTB&TS.
