you could do gazillion situps but if you have a layer of fat on your belly nobody will ever get to see your abs.
the only way to to get a six pack is to decreases body fat percentage which you achieve by doing cardio 4-6 times a week for average of 45min and healthy diet that consists of fresh, unprocessed foods (5-6 small meals a day)
you only need to do 20-30 sit ups (for building muscle) or crunches (to tone) and do 2-4 sets not more than 3 times a week.
