Friend,

There is only one God.

All forms in the universe are his manifestations only.Anything in the universe is God.The level of divine manifestation may be different in different personalities.
if you have hundreds of mirror pieces in sun light, sun appears in all the pieces.Similarly God manifests in all.But our ignorance stands in the way of realising Him.Once we peel off all the layers of ignorance and egoism and become pure, automatically , realisation results.

I think so. But then that's just me. You see I perceive the Creator as something a good deal 'bigger' a good deal 'more' than the Universe itself.
Why? With all the fantastic gadgets we humans have created none yet are more complex than we are ourselves. If we are the image of the Creator then it follows that the created is less than the Creator.
But then there is that uncomfortable little fact that the Universe is so vast and so complex that we can and likely never will really comprehend or understand it fully. And the Creator is greater even than that.
Thus, considering all the variety that exists in the universe how can we expect the Creator to be so simple as to be perceptible only as one group of people perceive Him/Her/ It to be. Therefore, you have this one bunch of folk looking at this vast entity and seeing: ta da! the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Somebody else looks and sees...nothing. Yet another looks and sees Jehovah. Another sees The whole Hindu Pantheon. Some one else sees the God and Goddess of the Wiccans. Other folks see Allah. Then there are the pantheons of older cultures, some of which are still worshiped by some.
My contention is that, simply put, everyone is right. They are simply looking at the same thing from a different view point and seeing what makes them happy, what gives them spiritual comfort.

I think there are between 2000 and 3000 named gods around the world and there are plenty of different ones today although many of the different gods are given the same name. Some people group different gods as one god:
"There is one God
God the Father
God the Son (JESUS)
God the Holy Spirit

That, by my count, is three. A father cannot be the same as a son so they must be different gods.

Personally I do not believe in gods, I find such a belief to be illogical.

So I've been told. The "Christian" trinitarian God is indeed 3 gods. He is made up of a separate God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. That's 3 gods. However, trinitarians are quick to say that God is made up of 3 persons, not gods. That, of course, does not make sense.

The Bible points out that there is only one true God. His name is Jehovah. Ps. 83:18

I do not like to restrict myself to one belief I love researching diffirent religions I have realized that a ton of diffrent cultures have the, same Gods, or God, same motives in legends and mythology. Its up to you what you beleive in but I dont think people should restrict there minds to one idea. Let your mind explore new ideas.

They are all one in that they all fall under the category of nonexistant.

Other than that, though, they are very diverse and cannot simply be mushed together.

All gods are one .This itself admits that there ar several gods .or that the gods are inseveral forms. The chritians seemiong appearin gto accept this sugestion come to one and the one specific god .- their god exclusively as th eone for all. Here is the problem created by those who pretend to accept tha tall gods are one. The muslims would nt accept even this .they do not accept Jesus christ as god .Thre arises the problem between the christians and the Muslims .the christains consider that god made man after his image ans so god has the form of aman.why did the god fail to create jesus crist himself in tehbeginnig itself instead of creating Adam and Eve and later creating jesus as a some born of an adultress relationship with the god or his Angel by a woman already having a husband ? God could not foresee the future perhaps .
when god made woman ou of the rib of the man why is it she chose to create Jesu out of a woman in a sexaul relation ship with somebody other than her legitimate husband ? It is not the case of the christians that Jesus is an Avataar of god ; but a sone of man and son of god and god .and holy spirit or ghost of a man who died on cross and did not die but resurrected and rose to heaven inhis poriginal physical body of flesh and bone >when the man has gone to heaven wiht a physical body , it is not known how he became a spirit or a ghost .Perhaps he died in heaven.die.any how it ia all nothing but confusion as no single diciple wrote about him and all that was said by a numver of his disciples was suitably modiefied to eleminate contradictions that col dnt be eleminated fully and cogently .
The concept of god for diferent religions are really different and diametrically opposed to one another .The hindu concept the most ancient of all religious thoughts thought considers the whole cosmos wiht all the universes and all that it contains as atanding as one in the form of god .Their view is that everything in the umierse is representing and reminding god and God is seen in all forms and shapes .simply god is omnipresnece and /god is not s single man and god is not absent in man as he is not absent in any creature or beoings or objects animate and inanimate .
this is at variance with the thought of the christians who think and say in genesis that god is in the shapoe and image of man.and man only. This is definitely at variancxe with the thoufght opf the Hiindus that who cn see god in anything and everything as nothing is without HIm.How can one imagine tha tall gods that all religions speak of is one and the same ? Christanity speaks of Jesus as God and Islam calls him as one of the propjhets like Muhammed himself and has stted that he was ineffective in bringing people to god and so god has sent Muhammed to set reight the mess and bring all the people of he world to god by force .So according to Islam , Jesu christ and god himself was incapable of bringing all peopl eof he world to to
god as god coul dnot foresse that jesus christ could not be effective in this respect and he had to mend his action by creating Muhammed later retiring Jesus to be on the Benchof the court of god as a member .(vide Koran) .so it is all funny to see people handle 'god ina very cauysl manner and delineat ehim as one incapable of foresight .Christ has usurped the position of /god and pusjhed him to the background as none can approach /god and everybody has to accept Jesus only as god and Jesu alone has become the god .
Those who say that all gods ar ethe same are those who have not touched the hindu scriptues , the bible and the Koran etc with even a pair of tongs .
I would say that people should read all these scriptures before thay opine about the natue of god according to the different religions .Theproblem wioht the Hindus is that they have no pbolem wiht acceptin gall god as one .bnut no christin and no muslim is willing t o accept a Hindu even as aone believeing in god .this is the bery reason that htey are constaantly working to convert the Hindus to thier respective religions .
it is very difficult for any one to read all the Hindu scriptures .it would sufice if one would read at least the bhagavad -gita .As regards christianity one shoul dread any Bible all tastaments or at least th enew tastemament before a modern digital tastament comes into being ! As regards.koran one should read the original arabic version . If tha tis no tpossible one should read a number of translations to get at atleast one genuine and faithful translation as it i smy personal experience that most of hem are twisted and doctored by omitting a lot of details that ar wembarassing to the Muslims .so a dozen different tanslations by impartial individuals preferably westerners should be read top see it in its origianl and true colour . I have read all the scriptures of all the three religions mentioned above by visiting a large number of public and university libraries in the US and Canada.
In short , the Hindus consider that all gods that all religions speak of ar the same .the christians consider that Jesus anbd his ghost or spirit alone is God and god is retired or relegated to the background and that all the rest are demons . The muslims consider that Jesu is a man who is a prophet like Muhammed but inefective and incapapble of carrying out god's mission and that god is shapeless and that God is no ghost or spirit .
But the fact is that God is not a man or spirit or ghost or formless nothing .God is the whole cosmos that is displayig itslef in every so mnay forms and lives and what not standing as one in cosmos .It is just like the millions of dots making one whole picure of cosmos .no single pixel of dot is important or inevitable but all dots make the whole picture .tha is why the Hindus have the freedom to worship god in any form that is most appealog to them and cal god by any name as god is omnipresnt .they see god everywhere and in everythinmg and so they are neer out of sight of ?god and god is never out of sight of man.Now y can decide for yur self if the gods that all religions speak are the same .
Ido not understand why the Hindus ar hesitant toi call the spade a spade .May e because they do m0ot want to offend others exactly in accordance witht he advice of Lord Krishna
in verse 26 of he third teachig of Bhagavad -gita :
" No wise man disturbs the understanding
of ignorant men attached t action;
he should inspire them,
performing all actions with discipline "
