There is no evidence there never was, there never will be. There is a lot of proof that disproves a lot of the bible. I find it almost embarassing that some people truely believe in the bible stories and some would die for them. Boy would they be in for a shock when the lights went out and never came back on.
Practical thought-do you not see the irony in your name?
Nicole that book is just square pegs pounded into round holes, it is complete garbage.

I don't know that this will help you or not. If evidence given previously is not good enough, maybe you are not reasoning it out logically.
1. The disciples claimed that Christ rose from the dead. To make this easy they could have claimed it was a 'spiritual' rising.
2. The body of Jesus was guarded by soldiers and a seal was placed on the tomb (to prevent the disciples stealing the body). If the disciples (12) had attacked the soldiers the disciples would have been killed or run down. Rome didn't take kindly to "jewish uprisings". Nor would have been an easy thing for them to steal the body by stealth.
3. The Jewish leaders had everything to lose if Jesus rose again. He had been exposing them for what they really were. To denounce the claim that Jesus had risen, all they needed to do was present the body of Christ for all to see that He had not risen. But, they did not have the body.
You can read 'Josephus'. He was a historian in that area a few hundred years later.

I'm a Christian, but I don't think that there is any evidence to support the resurrection. Chances are, Jesus' body was left on the cross to be eaten by birds and dogs, the way things happened to every other person tortured under the Romans. Personally, I don't think the resurrection indicates a saving or not, though. I mean, if Jesus really is the Son of God, and he died, just died and his energy dissipated the way science says it does, what's wrong with that? If I die, and my energy dissipates, or I'm dead in the same place as Jesus is, who cares if there's a resurrection, per se? If it's good enough for Jesus, then it's good enough for me. A lot of Christians would think that I am absolutely crazy for not wholeheartedly believing in the resurrection, but there are a lot of things that don't add up. People carbon-tested the Shroud Of Turin, and the era from which it came was completely different than the era of Jesus. I don't think that Christianity is a complete crock, but I do think that it should be treated more as a guideline for living one's life and not taken so literally.

Eyewitness interviews.. obviously there is no contemporary evidence since Jesus went to heaven.. if he didn't and there was a body here on earth then that would obviously defeat our claim to his resurrection.
There are a few things that the authors of the Bible noted..they actually interviewed people if you read the N.T. Gospels, they are almost like interviews which is essentially what they were. The word of a woman was worthless in the 1st century, yet the authors noted that women found the tomb empty. There is quite a few..
If you are open to reading there is a book written by a former non-believer, who became curious when his wife converted... he was an investigative journalist and likes facts..Just be ready to have your mind opened.. it totally changed my faith. I had a lot of doubts and this gave facts to many of them. There is about three chapters on the subject of the Resurrection alone.

There is none. Furthermore, the bible cannot be taken as a reputable source, not only because it's begging the question, but also because the gospels were written a minimum of thirty years after the fact (thus based on memories that may or may not be correct, and hearsay) and they have been translated and edited many times over the years.
Plus, it is completely biologically impossible. It would be one thing if he were in a coma and then revived some time later... but as for being stone cold dead with a positively burst heart and probably a major concussion (not to mention being crucified) that's just not going to happen.

The evidence for the resurrection is given by current Christians, and the Christians who have lived before. Most of the disciples of Jesus met grisly deaths for what they were saying about Jesus, who not only resurrected, but also ascended to heaven.
If I were to be flayed alive until my skin was ripped off my sinews, and my muscles were hanging on the ground from my body along with my veins, I would want it to be something no less noble than what that disciple went through.
If I were to be crucified in Armenia, I would want what I was being crucified for to be important.
If I were to be pierced by a Brahman sword, I would want the message that I was being killed for to be no less important.
If I were to be hung by my neck by idolatrous priests in Greece, I would want that message to be important that made them so angry at me.
Such was the testimony of those disciples.

Just for the sake of argument, what kind of evidence would you accept? How about the writings of Thallus, Josephus, Tacitus, Seutonius, or Lucian?

probably the fact that I exist
after I found out that science basically tells me to belive that the universe was created out of 1,000,000,000,000 of a chanse or a number around there I realized I dont classify myself as a gambler.
So I picked up the Bible and belived that maybe theres a God or a force out there impossible for us to understand, but left us a book that we might find interesting and tells us only what we need to know

Christianity isn't based on facts...its based on faith. We don't need facts that there'll be a resurection of Jesus Christ because the Spirit (Holy Ghost) testifies it unto us therefore we know without facts of the truths.
