Not if she emailed you an offer. That is a very common scam usually using the name of the Omni Hotel in Montreal. The Manager name frequently changes, but it has to be the same scammers. Just delete the message. No, Canada doesn't have hotels soliciting employees from around the world.

Ask yourself these questions:

* Does the email or job posting direct you to contact an email address that uses a free webmailer (Yahoo, Hotmail, canada.com etc)?
* Does the recruiter have a website that matches the domain of the email address? For an email address like name@example.com there should be a website like http://www.example.com and it should be a recruiting company.
*How did they get your email?
* Does the company provide a postal address, telephone and fax number?
* Can you independently verify the postal addresses on a Google search?
*Try a google search with the name followed by scam or fraud
* Are the conditions too favourable ($30,000 per month salary, five star hotel accomodation)?
