In police-type novels, 'aux trousses' means on the heels of, so your phrase is something like 'Death is on your heels' - i.e. close by.

I would go with something along the lines of: Death of Fears or Death of Fright.
It's a slang kind of way of saying it, but it works. I believe that THAT is what they are saying. Death of Fears/Fright
NOTE
For traditional NON slang speakers, those who are saying KIT or Pencil case are right. Trousse. But that is not what THIS sentence is refering to. That would make NO sence.

'Aux trousses' means behind you, following you everywhere.
Les trousses were a kind of shoes.
Therefore it means 'death on your tail', just behind you and chasing you.
Literally something like 'hung on the heels of your shoes'

"La mort aux" means "the death of". Trousses? Hmm, trousers? so the death of pants? Dont think thats right but it should be and I like it.

Are you sure you spelled it right, because I'm fairly certain that says "The death of pencil cases," but that doesn't make any sense...I know that doesn't help you, but just as a heads-up, don't go by translation sites, because they are almost always wrong.

Death "on your heels"-- (close by) makes the most sense having seen the movie multiple times, my favorite Hitchcock and with Cary Grant

XD I'm sorry, this is really stupid and I dunno french, but I know a latin related language, and to me, it says "Death by undies" haha! I'm so sorry, but I had to type that, it's too funny to not share. Go on google and search for "free translation site" my mom uses them for her work. You type a word/phrase and choose what language it's in and then what language you want it translated to, sry I dunno the actual website, but I hope it helps.
