The people that get angry are the ones that don't truly understand everything. I've seen this happen with many old people in general and not just Mormon ones. They feel strongly about something, but don't know how to defend their beliefs or put up a good argument, so they start getting angry and shouting.
Younger people know more and have been witness to what works and what doesn't. They're "hip" and know practically everything. So they know how to defend their beliefs properly. Either that or they're apathetic.

As a whole the older population is more set in there ways-- and more for lack of a better word closed minded. It's not just Mormons it's most older people.

Frank, so far all Mormons I've met (no matter the age difference) are very nice!
But sometimes old people (not need to specify sex, race or religion) act angrier than youths, maybe because of the changes from their times to now and they complain a lot and etc..

Old people have aches and pains. They don't look good anymore. They no longer make plans except for medical and wills. They can't run after sweet young things anymore even if they still want to. They don't sleep well and all their money goes to medications, alot of medication. Their children haven't turned out the way they wanted and as well, life did not turn out the way they wanted. Their spouse may be dead and they are scared to death of dating again. Etc.

Actually my dad mellowed out as he got older, it made me mad, because when my kids grew up, they only saw the sweet side of him, they never saw the rage-aholic, who loved to argue about everything and was always screaming at the top of his lungs, making me think he was going to pop a vein or have a heart attack. They saw this calm quite person (at his house no less, were he was himself) who even talked to me liek a human being.
So when I talk to my kids about the abuse, they are like, right mom, for sure. were is the verbal, mental and emotional abuse you were talking about?
I attribute this calmness to me being rebellious and leaving my parents, as I was the glue that seemd to hold the dysfunction togther and when I was tired of being the cinderella, it kind of forced them to grow up, or just grow, or mature and stop raging.

I guess they've been around long enough to anticipate your questions and jump the gun when approached...all those times being questioned, feeling berated over long period of living can make them oversensitive and quite testy I suppose....that applies to everyone not just Mormons.

maybe it has more to do with personality than age. i do know that as you get older you do think about priorities and usually feel more strong about your faith.
personally i think everyone loses their effectiveness if they have to resort to screaming and yelling to make a point. that usually denotes frustration rather than conviction.

You're a mormon hater.
every question you ask here is trying to slander mormons.
My guess is that you push the buttons of older mormons more than younger ones (who probably think you're kooky and ignore you).
