I have a neon that pulses to music . it has a little box with some circuitry that controls the pulsing sensitivity. The problem is when the bass hits it either dosnt light up or it stays on, depending on how sensitive i set it. i need that inbetween setting, but i dont know how to fix it. I would imagine that i could put in some different ohm resistors to fix this. i dont know which ones to change or if this is even possible. Please help. this is going to require someone that is skilled with electronics.

without a diagram figuring that out is not possible.
u might try connecting it to a lower level output or modifying the tone controls setting - I know, that's no fun.

You can make a resistive divider on your speaker output (I assume that is what is driving it).
Again, a diagram would be useful unless u want to experiment.

I would start with 2 - 5K ohm 1/2 watt resistors, that will give u about 1/2 drive depending on what the input impedance is of the lights.

If it is low, it won't give u much at all. If it is too low just use a series resistor, but u will have to increase the wattage of the resistor. If it gets too hot to touch, go bigger.

u can also add some capacitance in series with the light input to filter out some bass. Again the value depends on the input impedance of the lights. Start with 1uF 50V and go from there.

happy experimenting.
