The thing is, that I tried to be good as hard as I could, but it did not bring the results that were expected. Now there is a problem: I am loosing my hearing. If it goes further with the same tempo, I will be deaf in about 3 or 4 years. What will you do in this situation?

Start learning to adjust now. Get into the community of others who know what you're going through. Don't expect any sympathy from them, cause you'll be disappointed.

Learn to sign. Make deaf friends and join organizations for the hearing impaired. Don't ever be shy about signing. Learn to sign this first: "Do you mind if I practice my signing with you?"

Also, be careful about using those big hearing aids. Some of them actually damage your hearing. Choose them wisely.

Some people have the option of getting back some of their hearing, but they prefer the deaf world. Being deaf may seem like a handicap to some, but to others it's the life they want.
