I'm using ReNu now, and it works fine, but I'm wondering if there is a better product on the market. I want to use the best of the best... :)

I use ReNu now and I've always liked it. I tried some others recently. Aquify is probably my second favorite. All the others made my eyes dry out.

Stop using Renu, it was recalled about 2 months ago. Its back out now, but I just don't trust it.I posted a website below-explaining the recall. Get the Aquify. It works the absolute best for silicon hydrogel lenses, such as your soft contacts.

It does not do the same thing. It only disinfects and stores correctly with a heat disinfection unit. If you use the saline and do not heat disinfect, you are not disinfection your lenses at all. Plus, the multi purpose solution also has a surfactant in it that cleans the lens and also a mild enzyme that removes protein deposits, and your saline has none of those. Use the cleaning and disinfecting system that your doctor recommended for you and your contacts, that is your best bet.

It depends on you and the contacts you are wearing. Not all contacts can be used with any old solution. Plus it depends on you as well. Your doctor and contact lens fitter takes that into consideration. You should stick with them same kind of solution on the contacts you are wearing. Dont change mid month to a new solution, wait till the following changing schedule and change than if you do decide to change. Remember that contact lenses are a medical device, just like a prescription of whatever you get from the pharmacy and messing around and not following directions can lead you to infections and or worse.

I recommend Optifree for most of my patients. It cleans them well and hasn't ever been pulled from the market like complete and renu.

The best is the one that suits your particular eyes wearing your particular lenses. If you want to try others, ask your fitter for trial size bottles and compare. There is no one solution that is best for everyone.
