In scripture it says that if you hang around fools, you will be destroyed, a wise man choose his friends carefully. Also It says that you have to be the judge of all things that come into your life for yourself. You should pray to God for guidance. Maybe YA is bad, or maybe God was telling you that there are many wicked who do not give counsel with wisdom. Read proverbs for guidance.

First of all I you really believe in God, and He speaks to you, and you have a relationship with Him, why would you take a mans opinion over what ALL MIGHTY GOD has told you? If God tells you something (and you know it's God) then you should not have to ask any man what they think you should do. If GOD already told you what to or not to do. Go to Him in prayer he Ioves you and only wants what's best for you.
