because jesus is the mainstream in this day and age, while zeus' time, sad to say, has been and gone. if you had asked that question, say, 2000 years ago or so, the answers would be quite different.

as for your supplemental questions, yes i know zeus. and he is no more an illusion than any other god in the pantheons of the world.

The religion of the ancient Greeks and modern Christianity are very different. In Christianity a relationship with Jesus saves your soul and transforms you into a better person. This is the single most important aspect of Christianity. Zeus isn't and was never viewed in this way. Zeus of Greek mythology is actually far closer to a mortal human than he is to Jesus in Christianity.

Because Jesus is a real Historical person Zeus was never claimed to be a real person. However Jesus was more than just a Person, He was God in a human form.

The Ancient Greeks certainly believed in Zeus, the youngest son of Cronus and Rhea. He ruled on Mount Olympus and the Pantheon of gods who resided there. Were they gods or in reality a bunch of demons?

Zeus frowns at the idea. He is just as legitimate a deity as any of those newcomers!

Because the former comes from an honest intention, even if it might be ignorant. The latter is purposely meant to make fun of people and their religious beliefs- it's a dishonest question.

you can't know zeus, he doesn't exist. jesus on the other hand does exist therefore the question in knowing him is perfectly legit.

"Do you know Zeus?" is a perfectly legitimate question. As is "Do you know the Godess" or "Do you know Ganesh?" Or "Do you know Kali?" I know them all, by the way. (They're actually all the same but by different names - that's the secret).

LOL...

Zues never said, I will never leave you nor forsake you... The only way to father is through me (which is where we get the nice abbreviation do you know Jesus)...

Zues never said I am the way the truth and the life... that is why it is not legit...
