I was asleep and woke suddenly. I opened my eyes and saw a ghost like, full color image of a man sitting in my bed staring at me. When he saw me see him he said 'hello'. I screamed and he vanished. I jumped out of my bed and took a few moments to think about what happened. I wasn't frozen so this makes me think it wasn't simply a lucid dream, but I don't know. Also, he spoke to me? Can ghosts talk? I am not afraid of ghosts but noone wants to think someone, alive or dead, is watching them sleep without their knowledge. Any explanations besides calling me crazy?

At about the age of 7, a childs mind switches from the "magically" side, to thinking with the "logical" side. This is why children are more likely to see ghosts than adults. By the time MOST people reach the age of puberty, the magical side of the brain has basically shut down, and all we experience comes from the logical side. Logic is telling you that the ghost doesn't exist. But we dream with that magical side, which is the side that was active at the moment you woke.
For some people, the magical child-like side never completely shuts down during consciencness. This is where the psycics get their visions.
I have experienced ghosts in several different places I've lived. One in particular was really creepy, we moved really quick. But most are harmless. Many look after the house when the people are sleeping. I had one, an older lady, who used to open the bedroom door, check on me, then close it, every night. I got used to it.
If you don't feel a horrible fear during daylight, I wouldn't worry about it. Negative energy will make itself known if it's there.

This is scaring me.. I know it sounds creepy, but you're NOT losing your mind.. some people see "ghosts" for lack of a better word, far easier than the average person. I kid you not, I have seen more than my share of them.. not tons, lol... but NUMEROUS... I even had one encounter where the figure was a woman, wearing what looked like a white nurses uniform, came to the side of my bed and set down what looked like a white paper bag... I pulled the covers up over my head TIGHT (mind you, I was WIDE AWAKE!!), and this "figure" pulled REAL HARD at the cover!! It was absolutely terrifying! My then husband was out of town.. I stayed under the covers until daylight, terrified, then ran downstairs to my neighbors house, a little old Irish lady... she proceeded to tell me that there is more noise upstairs when you guys are GONE than when you are THERE... Guess where I spent the next week!! With her, lol!!!! Really scary! Why did you have to remind me of that!! Now I have to sleep with the lights on again... under the cover.. arrrrgghhhhh!!! :o) Hope you don't get another visit... :o(

Ok... The entity you encountered.... many people have someone like that around them. Its all part of a dark faustian pact that the Illuminati and the Reptilian aganeda has made. Magick is done in the astral world and your dreams are a doorway to the astral world. They have contracted with "beings" you harm, bother, leech off and watch your astral body. When you, mostly by accident at first, transfer your awareness to your astral body the "being" is there to SCARE you into never wanting to have another astral projection. Therefore keeping you a slave and a prisoner. There is a lot of interference between your different bodies and your awareness, so even though you astraly projected, your awareness didn't transfer enough to gain full control of your astral body and you where stuck somewhere inbetween. You didn't have full control of your physical body so it was paralyzed and you didnt have full control of your astral body so you could barely move it. What you NEED to do it DO NOT be afraid. Confirm inside yourself a desire to keep back to your astral body and kill the **** out of that dark scum "being" that is wtaching your astral body.

Yes, ghosts can talk. Joseph Smith, the great Latter-day Prophet, taught that if a spirit or something that looks like a spirit, appears before you, and you want to know if that manifestation is good or evil, reach out to shake his hand. If he is a good spirit, he will not even acknowledge your gesture and will say what he was sent from God to say to you. If he is an angel a flesh and bone (a man of Light), he will shake your hand and you will be able to feel his hand, for he is a man.
The evil spirit will try to deceive you, and will try to shake your hand. But you will feel nothing! And of course it is at this point that you must rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus Christ, and command him to leave, or otherwise do something to make him depart - like screaming. Don't assume that will ALWAYS work, though...
You can be sure of one thing, though. Evil spirits do not have bodies of flesh and bone. And they are subject to laws and principles which you may not quite understand. However, they cannot ignore the authority of Jesus Christ, and should you remember that, you can command the spirits in the name of Jesus Christ to be gone, and they must obey.
Joseph Smith himself wrote of an encounter he had while praying, and he was overcome by a force that was attempting to bind his tongue, for the evil force knew of his importance as a soon to be prophet. By continuing in earnest to call upon the Lord, however, he was soon free of that darkness, he wrote.
I tell you this because I think we can learn from his experience and apply it to our lives if the occassional ever came. I'm just trying to help out.

I've heard of such things before from people involved with witchcraft and the occult.
Demons can speak, but they usually use people to do it.
I wouldn't like something like that happening one bit.
If you repent for your sin, and ask Jesus to come into your heart..he will protect you from evil.

You aren't crazy and it sounds like you were visited by a spirit. I have seen spirits myself. No, they weren't demons, No, they weren't out to get me. I have no doubt you were startled! Have you have any activity where you live?

It was either well....first it could have been from sleep apnia...or it could have been an evil spirit...ghost don't exsist. I don' t think your crazy at all...I have seen alot of things in my life.....but I no longer do...thank God..

You don't have to be crazy to have imagined it, which is very possible. Most likely you were still half-asleep when this happened.

you could have an imaginative feelings and thought for your beloved whom u loves and expecting such confession from him, before going to bed. so u get suchan illusion.
