I really hate that weird roller coaster feeling in my stomach. Do you get that when you fly?

Occasionally. Just once in the flight, and you know the pilot has started to descend. Like 20 minutes before landing. How do I know? They sometimes announce starting decent just before or just after. So if it happens and they don't announce you can sort of guess if the timing seems right. But once every once in awhile on a long flight is very different than frequently in a couple minutes of a roller coaster is hard to compare. It is never as intense either.

Take off and landing you feel thrust, not weightlessness, which I believe is what you mean. Turbulence is usually just bumpy, but can occasionally create the feeling too.

Everybody who has answered nope does not know what they are talking about. There is no greater rush then when you are sitting on a runway waiting to take off. You finally hear the engines starting up and finally the captain pushes full throttle and you are rocked down the runway by engines that are producing anywhere from 20,000 to 120,000 lbs. of thrust each. You finally get to your rotation vector and the plane lifts off the ground going about 170 mph.

The only real difference between flying and a roller coaster is that you are outdoors on a roller coaster which adds to the thrill.

But when a plane is descending getting ready to land, the plane makes alot of twist and turns to line up for the runway and one of the best parts of flying is pounding the concrete floor traveling at 150 mph weighing nearly 300,000 lbs. and then hearing those beautiful engines reverse thrust as you screech to a halt.

It is marvelous.

If you want to get an even better thrill than a roller coaster get a friend to take you up on a biplane which is not enclosed; have him or her take you up 8,000 feet and do a bunch of flips and dives. 10 times better than a roller coaster.

Hope this helps

I do. I hate rollercoasters though, but I like that rush when the plane takes off and lands. Its exhilarating.
