Most popular or best? Callaway is probably the most popular. Miura is probably the best. In the past, pros who did not like the clubs their sponsors made would have a set of Miura's made and stamp their sponsors name on them. Now you can buy them yourself for around $1200. Scratch golf is an american company that makes clubs of equal quality and similar price. They also custom make them to cater to your type of swing. I feel they make the best custom wedges on the planet, and the price reflects that. The best value is clubs is KZ Golf, imo. They make custom fit, forged or cast irons (as well as woods and wedges), and have a lot of different models to choose from. The best part is, you will pay as much or less than most top brands for clubs that are most likely far better suited to you than anything you'd find off the rack.

Oh my. This is a tough one. You could ask 10 people and get 10 different answers. There is so much good equipment out there these days. For what it's worth, I would take a look at the Golf Digest 2007 Hot List.

On tours, I remember it was Mizuno a few years back because it said so on the box my irons came in. =P
But now, I believe it could either be TaylorMade or Titleist.
