We've been apart many times--we both work in moving pictures and I also work in television and on the stage. It is part of our lives that there are often unfriendly distances between us. So...why do I miss her so much now? For three weeks she's been in Europe shooting a picture. I'm freaking coming apart. She's all I can think about. Get a grip, you old talking donkey, you!

Someone here asked about my use of the phrase, "Moving pictures." The answer is that nowadays only moviegoers call the movies the movies, and more and more 'film' people are saying 'motion pictures' or 'moving pictures.' Moguls are saying 'the films' and
'the industry,' neither of which I can bring myself to doing...yet.

Love. The most powerful and innate power in the Universe. Call her!!! E-mail her, let her know how much your heart yearns for her.

Yank, you had me going for a second! When I read the opening of the question... *gulp!* Now I'm sitting here relieved that it's a distance thing.

You miss her in direct proportion to how much you value her company. So missing her this much is a good thing! Is the shoot much longer? I know that phone calls and email just don't come close to direct contact... but think about how rewarding it's going to be to have her back home.

[Edit] I understood you fine; I've been to film school. There are sooo many ways to talk about film making--but at least we're not still calling movies, "Talkies." Really, since more and more film makers are shooting to high-def, the word "film" is starting to lose its edge.

I feel sad for you but I envy the hell out of her! You're a real babe for all of what you just said but not the donkey part. Call her and don't be a wus about it let it all out phone lovin' all that! I wish I was her but it's nice to know famous people are just like us, human! Call the woman, send flowers with a note that says what's in your gut. Don't go hollywood when it comes to romance be real about it, be a husband that misses his wifie! OK?

Call her or send her flowers or something :) I couldn't be apart from my husband for 3 days, much less 3 weeks and he feels the same way. You should go see her if you have the means - take her into your arms and show her how much you love her.

Life's too short to take our time here for granted.

Best of luck!

Absense makes the heart grow fonder, YET it's not the easiest part to bear when a loved one is away. With so much technology, you can't keep in touch using the internet ? Laptops are a good remedy for what you speak of with cams on them. You'd be surprised how much of the "emptiness" they would relieve.......

It's pretty simple...
It's called "love".

I've got to say, though... if I were a television and film actor, and my wife was in Europe and I wasn't... I'd hop on a plane to go see her. It's not like you can't afford the airfare.

Oh.. and if you need a hairy and scary bit part for a movie... hook a brotha up. ;)

AWW. That is so sweet. It is because you love her and miss her. It is normal. Sometimes you can deal with it better than other times. I wish I had a love like that. Don't worry, she'll ve back home soon.

That's part of love, affection, companionship. You deeply enjoy being near her, and it's difficult to be away.

If this is what your life is like- always being apart- and one of you is not happy with that situation, then perhaps you should change some priorities so that you can be together more often.

You miss the closeness, the sharing, the crazy little things she says and does that makes your heart glad.
As another told you, maybe you should hop on a plane asap and fly to her side.
She is one lucky lady!
