5'5" is 65" -- 6' is 72"

one way your adult height is predicted is:

for women - dad's hieght - 5" + mom's height divided by two. For you that would be 66" or 5'6"

for men - mom's height +5" added to dad's height divided by two. In this case it'd be 71" or 5"11"

is there hope of what? :-)

One way of determining your height is to add both parents' heights together, divide by two and add three inches for a boy and subtract three inches for a girl to determine the child's adult height.

Using this formula, you will be one half inch taller than your mother:

65 inches + 72 inches = 137 inches, divided by 2 = 68.5 inches, minus 3 = 65.5 inches (or 5' 5 and 1/2"), given a half inch or so.

This is an approximate estimate; for example, my mother was 5'8" and my dad 6'0", and I ended up at 5'6 3/4".

Another test for determining adult height first asks how tall the child was at the age of two and doubles this height. Of course, you will need to eat healthy, well-balanced meals and avoid junk food. Most girls reach 90 percent of their adult height by age fifteen.

There is always hope but you need to take in account the height of your grandparents as well.

My mother was 4' 5, My father was 5'8.

I am 5'5

My ex- husband was 5'8
His father was 6'2
his Mother was 5'6

I have one daughter who is 4'6
and the other daughter is 5'7

Eat right, lots of veggies, milk and protein and never Smoke!
My 4'6 daughter and Mother both smoked when they were young. AND exercise is very importaint also!!

Yes there is hope!
I'm 5'7 and my mum is 5'3 and my dad is 5'11..so the there is '8 difference between my parents and there's '7 difference between your parents. So you'll probably be taller than me someday.
Don't give up hope....you never know..you'll probably grow taller than 5'6 and maybe be as tall as your dad!
