Substitution.
Replace negative thoughts with positive.
When I was going through a divorce, I was angry non-stop. So I started saying to myself Philippians 4:4-7. "Rejoice in the Lord always & again I say rejoice. Let your GENTLENESS be evident to all . . . " At first I was reciting the verses through gritted teeth, but eventually, the words started sinking in more.
But don't think you have to use scripture. Poems are good. A sentence that struck you in Sunday's sermon. Anything to focus you on good.
But allow yourself to be angry. Anger isn't bad as long as you don't allow it to lead you to sin.

Ok Im gonna be real as possible on this one. First of all you should never try to focus on trying to make yourself better for the sake of any religion. Especially Christianity. Think about it. When my ancestors where brought from Africa they were told by the white race that my tribe, looks, and BELIEFS were wrong and not in proper manner. So then they made my ancestors believe Christianity was the proper way and till this day African Americans think that being a good Christian is the way to being a better person. Why would believe a religion that was from people who thought you werent equal to them. And dont think that they havent changed anything in the Bible. So really I think all religions are like joining a colt. Its to put order in the communities and to control the weak people. So the best thing for you to do for those negative thoughts in your head is to become grounded with yourself and meditate 20 minutes or more a day. Your feel a lot better. And you may not want to believe this either but eating heathy also determines you moods. So I really hope this piece of info helps. Signin out!

It's already really good that you're analysing this. I congratulate you, already you're being smarter then most who don't even realize they are disrespectful. The truth is, with acceptance comes peace and acceptances repels anger. I believe in philosophies rather then religion. You live in a planet where there is good and bad. And until you can accept that fact that there is the bad, and there will always be, you can't get rid of anger. I'm not saying those rappers are evil LOL. But there will be many things that will piss you off, and trust me, bad rappers are the least of your worries. Accept the fact that there are bad things in the world and instead of getting angry at them pity them, for you have found something they have not. And most of all, you say you're Christian, then pray. Pray till you drop! Prayer isn't just for the religious people, it's for everyone. Pray to gain wisdom and strength.
Pray to help the ones who haven't discovered God yet, and pray for the good and to help the bad.
Try and not judge people, sometimes we see someone doing bad things, who knows if that person suffered intensely throughout his or her life, and instead of reverting to god, went down a dark path. Some people haven't had it easy you know.. The "Ghetto" people usually come from poor environment where there is lack of education, a lot of violence and criminality and lack of love. Rather then get angry, try and help, even if it is just through prayer.

Want to be a better Christian? Get a copy of the Jefferson Bible (where Thomas Jefferson eliminated eveything from the traditional Bible but the statements attributed to the alleged historical Jesus Christ)
http://www.amazon.com/s/104-9674063-5073525?ie=UTF8&tag=mozilla-20&index=blended&link%5Fcode=qs&field-keywords=jefferson%20bible&sourceid=Mozilla-search
Then, simply ACT like that person, and don't bother with church or other ~social~ activities that make a pretense of being of a "Christian" nature.
I mean, really, on just a purely linguistic level, the word Christian simply pertains to any attributes of that alleged historical figure, not all the dogma and ritual and other trappings thrown onto that by all the humans that have lived since the alleged lifetime of the alleged Jesus Christ.
Anythign else you do besides simply emulating the source of the term / concept ("Christian") is just to appease OTHER people and THEIR own delusions.
Is that what you want, or do you want to LITERALLY be Christian? What is your underlying motivation? That may be an even more important question than the one you asked ............... chew on that ....

I think you must be young or young in your christianity. I say that because the older you get the more you can let things roll off and not bother you. It comes with age and also comes with the numbness of being around it alot and realising - Hey, this is just how it is. Get over it. I mean I can understand how it bothers you and maybe you seriously need to vent that to a friend or someone who understands... So, I don't think God is mad at you about this.
God knows about the conditions we live in. He knows we live in an imperfect world, in imperfect bodies, imperfect minds, imperfect everything. Things are screw up every where you go and nothing ever goes right. SO, you just DO THE BEST YOU CAN and don't beat yourself up over it.
God is your father right? Just remember it is his job to take care of you, his job to parent you and his job to correct you if he sees fit to do so. So, just let him be the parent and you be the child and stop worrying about this.
Christ is your righteousness - you can not add or take away from that. God bless you.

I have had the same problems. I have taken Philippians 4:8 to heart. When there is a true change of heart and mind then there shall be a true change of what is said, or thought about others. Try to look at them through the eyes of Christ. Remember Romans 12:2 tells us that we are not to conform to the pattern of this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. I hope that this helps you have my prayers. God Bless

Drop your pride and decrease your self for God. God hates a wise person that has too much pride (Proverbs 6: 12-20)
DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)
Remember, that God does not love everyone, he is going to squish billions of people at end times. You should only love the people in the body of Christ, not your next door neighbor.

The cursing is a not the first problem.
Jesus said judge not, lest ye be judged. By deciding certain people are "ghetto people", you are judging even before you get to the cusring part. Try to see people as people, human beings - not as "ghetto people" and "non-ghetto people", for starters.

To have unconditional love, you must separate the sinner from the sin. Hate the sin, but love the sinner, for they are a child of God.
Your feelings belong to you, only you decide how you will feel. You can change how you feel, no one else can do that unless you let them. Forgiveness is the key, patience, tolerance, understanding, unconditional love........read your bible. Get a New Living Translation, which is written in plain modern English, it has all the answers.

Increase your prayer in Jesus' name. Ask the LORD to give you increased love, respect for everyone. Read and Study the scriptures, such as the 21 letters of the New Testament and the Gospels. God bless.
