In this century does it truely matter if another country replaced America as the world military super power. I have heard a lot of talk that in a few decades China could replace the US as the world military super power. Yet, I do not think that even if this happened it would be any threat to any other large modern country such as Russia, Britain, US, Japan, etc. People make it sound that if China becomes the world military super power than the US could be invaded some how. In all honesty, if any country like the US, Russia, China, Britan, etc attack anyother it would simply turn in to the M.A.D (Mutually Assured Destruction) which would make any invasion of these country by another very unlikely. So, if there is no other reason is there really a need for the worry that China could replace the US as the super power. Just curious if you have any thought on this.

What are you talking about. Even now America does not create the governing laws of other countries. So if china became a military super power that does not mean they are going to start creating our laws.

Well your point is unconventional but sensible. At the same time have you also considered that if we attack any country like Russia, China, Britain

So there is no military super power after all? what do you think?

The answer depends on if the super power where to be a just and and free people governed by the rule of law with human rights and compassion for the needy. If the super power was to be this it would not matter, however a government such as WWII Germany with Hitler as a dictator would make a difference I don't think anyone would enjoy. The U.S. may not be perfect but we are still better than any alternative.

Does it matter if we adopted the Chinese rule of law in our country to adapt to their way of life because they want us too...I think it does. I mean I don't much care for the imposition of the death penalty based on one's physical results and thus ability to donate organs.

Maybe we should sit back and let Iran become the next world super power. That'd be great. We could get all American women to start wearing veils and when they commit adultery we could tie them to a stake and throw rocks at them until they are dead.

Nope the US really has no reason to try and stay ahead of the others.

The problem with your thinking is the belief that no one is aggressive in the world. China wouldn't impose its laws on us; Iran wouldn't, and that is a typical opinion of a person who never learned in peace through strength and that any nation without a top defense falters. When a leftist gets into the white house and is told by American generals we can't beat "China, Iran, whoever" the leftist will capitulate just like france.....then we get to experience the laws of other nations.

With china it depends on the goals of the leaders. But if china becomes the New military super power then if they invade well retaliate and call to allies. So pretty much china invades WW3 or nuclear warfare if the threat becomes to high.

In terms of a military super power, the US military would have to stand still and not improve it's capabilities for at least twenty and most likely thirty years for china to even begin to match our military. It ain't about to happen. Ever.

To quote James Burke, "The military is nothing more than the enforcement arm of any government's economic policy."

LOOKING INTO THE PRESENT SCENARIO OF INDUSTRIAL ACQUISITION AND MERGER GLOBALLY , I DONT PERSONALLY THINK THAT IT MATTERS WHO THE MILITARY SUPER POWER IS, SINCE THE COUNTRY IS BEING RULED BY BUISNESS COMMUNITY AND ITS PEOPLE AND AS FAR AS GREED OR REVENGE FEELING TURNS ON , EVERY ONE IS SAFE
