I ask because most of the arguments either say "prove there is a God" or "One who could reason or understand would see that there is no God".

I wonder why the attackers do not prove beyond any possible doubt that there is absolutely no God to settle the issue.

Assuming there is a problem with people who doubt the existence of God, I think the problem with them is a matter of whether of not believing in it would be convenient for them. I mean, in my own life, believing in God at one point was really something I simply didn't want to do. I didn't want to learn how to learn about him. I just wanted to experience things without even thinking about how God was supposed to fit in my life.

People who want you to prove there is a God really don't care whether or not there is one. It isn't really an attack on God, it's just a matter of ambivalence.

Regardless of their positions, I personally have a hope that people will see what they can't, eventually. That hope is based on what I've experienced myself, as well as what I've seen in other people. We all get touched different ways, and sometimes the strangest thing might turn our thoughts in a direction that will pique our interest in a way that gets us to start believing. Sometimes the experience involves tragedy. Actually, a lot of times that seems to be what gets people to think differently and actively search (or relent) for God earnestly.

My believe that there is no god is my own belief, it has nothing to do with anyone else.

But, the fact is that no one can prove beyond a possible doubt that there is a god or that there isn't a god.

Let me first prove that there is not a Spalding Official NBA Basketball orbiting the Earth.

I would like to believe there is such a basketball.

It would make me a better person if there were such a basketball.

I would be inspired to do great things for mankind if there were a wonderful bouncy sphere orbiting the Earth.

Unfortunately, there is no basketball, yet I still retain all my personal morals and ethics.

Of course I attack nobody. But it is no more possible for me to prove beyond any possible doubt that there is absolutely no god than it is possible for you to prove beyond any possible doubt that there is absolutely no Santa Clause or Easter Bunny. Or can you do something that I've seen nobody else do?

Stupid believers hey? How would you like me to say stupid athiets? Becasue athiets are very very blind, we as christians are not. it is you that need to get your head examined before you so insiane complety. There is a God who will thrown you straigt into hell unless you change your way of thinking. You are a sinner and sinners do not enter God's kingdom. Jesus came to die for the sins of the word and Jesus came tosave sinners. Now if you refect that salvation packege and go your own way you will reap what you sow, and on Judgment day God is not interested how good you have been on earth it all boilds down to did you excpet Jesus as Lord of your life so you can be forgiven if you ask. Andif your answer is not then you go away to the lake of fire buruing with suphor for ever wihtout end. You will burn along wiht satan and his dominions. Don't believe me well just waint and see If I were you and I am glad I am not if you were smart, you woud alsk Jesus to forgive you in faith. Jesus said 'Blessed are those who have not seen me but yet believed. Trust me you will believe on Judgment day, and if you are still going after your own desires and not God's you will surly perish for ever, and nobody will remmber you no more.

For those of us that don't believe in god, there is no point in attacking a non-existent god. The arguments are aimed at enlightening those who believe in such crazy ideas. The more we alert people to the fact that the idea of god is ridiculous, the more we hope it will sink in.

How can you attack something you don't believe in? If I told you that the grass in your front yard was purple, that would be an outrageous claim and the burden of proof would be on me since I am the one making the claim. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, the one who makes the extraordinary claim is the one who bears the burden of proof
since there is no evidence, there is no god.

It's an opinion, a belief.

You cannot disprove the existence of God, just like you cannot disprove the existence of leprechauns- you cannot disprove something for which there is no scientific evidence in the first place.

To me, it is not so much, 'Prove there is a God'
As 'Prove that there is a loving Catholic/Christian God instead of just an indifferent Creator.'

We do not....I repeat....DO NOT...have to prove anything.

You, on the other hand, have to prove the existence of your god. Impossible. Exactly!!!!
