If a puppy is sweet and mellow, will it be sweet and mellow as a dog?

If you shower it with love, attention, affection, training, exercise and a gentle hand will it stay sweet and calm as it gets older or what?

Usually.

When breeders test their puppies for temperament (not all do) they will do it before 12 weeks of age. The puppy's temperament is pretty well fixed by that age.

sort of but not really.

Some types of dogs are naturually more hyper than others. For example a boxer is a lot more active than a hound dog. However, if you do all of that it is likely it will stay sweet, just not calm.

chances are, if you just got it its still a little timid and it hasnt opened up all the way yet.. just wait a couple of weeks and you will have your hands full :)

I think it is very likely that the disposition the dog displays as a puppy is the same one it will always have. That has been my experience anyway.

Most of those sweet calm puppies stay that way. I've never seen one change. Usually, if that's the way they are, they don't change. They are just laid back.

it depends how u take care of it. if you dont play with it and dont pay attention to it a lot then it will grow to hate you. If your patient and love it and u know it will grow to love you.
