Yes, we have. I agree with this man's views on how we can find our mission.

As it has been impressed on me by observing many people over the years (admittedly through Christian spectacles), it appears that the three parts to your mission here on earth can be defined generally as follows:

(1) Your first Mission here on earth is one which you share with the rest of the human race, but it is no less your individual Mission for the fact that it is shared: and it is, to seek to stand hour by hour in the conscious presence of God, the One from whom your Mission is derived. The Missioner before the Mission is the rule. In religious language, your Mission here is: to know God, and enjoy him forever, and to see his hand in all his works.

(2) Secondly, once you have begun doing that in an earnest way, your second Mission here on earth is also one which you share with the rest of the human race, but it is no less your individual Mission for the fact that it is shared: and that is, to do what you can, moment by moment, day by day, step by step, to make this world a better place, following the leading and guidance of God's Spirit within you and around you.

(3) Thirdly, once you have begun doing that in a serious way, your third Mission here on earth is one which is uniquely yours, and that is:

a) to exercise that Talent which you particularly came to earth to use -- your greatest gift, which you most delight to use,

b) in the place(s) or setting(s) which God has caused to appeal to you the most,

c) and for those purposes which God most needs to have done in the world.

When fleshed out, and spelled out, I think you will find that there you have the definition of your Mission in life. Or, to put it another way, these are the three Missions, which you have in life.

Peace and every blessing!

Yes, a person has a purpose on this world from the time you were born, however some times it is only possible to accomplish when you are much older. Sometimes with out the proper accomplishments to lead up to it you can die without accomplishing your mission.

You don't necessarilly die when that mission is accomplished. You see this by abraham. He accomplished his mission by the binding of issac but still lived, if I remember correctly, 17 years. What was he doing during that time?

I would say yes. We are truly born with a mission, and a place in the big picture. I think that there are those that do die when that mission is complete. I know that I had a sister that died at age three. I feel that she had a purpose, and that she did in fact complete the will of God at a young age. But there are those who do not follow the will of God. And they will die when it is appointed unto them to die.

In Jesus Name

Not from birth. As we age, we may take on a mission and make that something that we dedicate our time to until we are no longer able or until we die.

Yes....each person has a mission from the time he/she is born..& that is to keep our parents happy & fulfill their dreams. & to b'come a good human being to make this world more beautiful to live for others. I think everyone should understand this & try to behave as humans[even with animals].

Yes. I drifted off my mission and God sent an angel down, whom looked like a normal person, to stop me from doing something stupid and in a split second, he vanished.

Each one of us has a purpose in this life but it is up to us whether or not we follow or fulfill that purpose. Do we then die? I don't know. If that was the case however, those who do not do as God commands them would live forever wouldn't they as they do not fulfill his purpose at all.

I personally don't think so. The world is so complex. Relationships are so intertwined. One word can change a person for life. How can we simply have one purpose? The world is to dynamic for that. It's small thinking.
