a tsp (regular eating tsp) of sugar...hold it in your mouth (just the sugar, not the spoon) till it's all dissolved. it's been working for me my whole life.

These are ones that cure my hiccups instantly:

1. My personal favorite: fill a glass with water and grab a straw. Put the straw in the glass now bend over like your going to touch your toes, but keep your head facing the front not down. Now hold your glass of water in front of you and drink from the straw. Take about 10 sips and slowly stand back up. If they aren't gone reapeat it a few times and take more sips than the last time.

2. Just get a glass of water and take 10 sips of water fairly quickly. Not like gulp...breathe...gulp. Just hold your breath and gulp swallow, gulp swallow, ect. If you cant hold your breath then breathe in between if you have to. This works well when you can't do anything weird like your at school or something.

3. Try eating peanut butter.

4. If Nothing works, then dance around wiggle, bend over, touch your toes and do some physical activity to get whatever it is down there to untwist or un-kink.

5. My least favorite: Just wait it out. Play a game or something and eventually you will notice that you stopped hiccuping!

I hope you get rid of your hiccups! I know they are soo annoying and sometimes painful.

Tap the bone beside your eye firmly for about 10 seconds and think about your hiccups, then tap the place where your collarbone joins your sternum right below and to the side of your throat about ten seconds. Then tap the side of your hand in the meaty spot below your pinkie finger quite firmly and again, think about your hiccups. If they are still not gone, put your hand on your diaphram (top of your stomach) and breathe in slowly all the way, then let out half, then breathe normally. Do a couple times they should go away.

this always worked for me. get a glass of water and place it on the table. put a straw in it. now put your middle fingers on your ears to plug them as airtight as you can, now plug your nose with your thumbs take a deep breath and start drinking the water, as long as you can without stopping to come up for air. when you are done your hiccups will be too. it is essential you get airtight seals as much as you can because for some reason if you dont get it right your hiccups stay and you got to do it all over. works everysingle time for me...hope it works for you. i hate hiccups

Get a sports bottle full of water. Use a couch to help you stand on your head. Drink the water when you are on your head.

If these persist for hours and nothing else works. Press your eyebrows or the top of them.

I always held my breath. It didn't always work the first time, so I would keep doing it, holding my breath longer until they went away. It never took me more than a few times.

A small spoonful of vinegar stops them in their tracks. My two year old grandson asks for it when he has them!
