I used to live with some girls from Taiwan & Malaysia, and they insisted that for a bruise, the proper treatment was massage. I had a bad bruise, and painful, and they made me sit while they massaged it with their thumbs for a while. Afterward, I was amazed that the lump (blood clot) had dissipated and the next day, the bruise was gone.

Elevate the bruised,Apply cold packs or ice for 30 minutes at a time for a day or two following the injury to reduce any swelling that accompanies your bruise and use Arnica cream or lotion on the bruise to speed healing. Arnica is an herb that can be applied topically to stimulate white blood cells, which resolve congested blood and if you kept getting bruised so easily you might want to check with your doctor you might be anemic.

PLEASE consider this: Excessive bruising can be a sign of ITP-idiopathic thrombocytic purpura. This is caused when your platelets drop to dangerously low levels. People with this condition my also have patches little bruises that look like pinheads. If you go to the doctor and ask for a simple blood test-to test your platelet level, you will know if you have this life threatening condition. If you have too few platelets you could experiencee internal bleeding. My son had ITP when he was five and responded very well to treatment-IV immunoglobulin, which is a blood product.
Hopefully you are just a tender girl :o) (I'm assuming you are a girl) But please get a blood test on Monday.

The best solution is to be careful and not get hurt. If that's not possible, well... maybe this household remedy might prove useful: Wrap a cold pack (ice in a bag, plastic bottle with ice, re-freezable packs for iceboxes) in a towel that has been moistened with vinegar.
I know it´s not the nicest smelling remedy, but it does reduce the swelling and the size of the bruise. It works best if you apply this immediately after you got hurt.

You need to get more biflavinoids into your system. These come from the rind of citrus fruits and can be purchased in pill form from your local health food store. Also, Vitamin K may prove to be efficacious.
The dance you are doing will raise your heartrate and will flush help flush your bruise out as well.

Make-up.
I don't think anything, short of ice immediately after the injury, to alleviate bruises. Bruises are bleeding beneath the skin. the damage is done.
sorry. :)

Arnica gel. You can get it at the health food store. Also gently massage the area to help break it up.
