God lets men and women know (in the Bible) to dress modestly. How then do so many churches choose?

to interpret it so differently. It seems to me that men want their women including their daughters covered up so as not to tempt men. Are men that weak?

Most certainly, the Word of God teaches men and women to dress modestly. And churches should also teach this principle to their congregations. Men most certainly should want their women including their daughters to properly cover up their bodies. It is not a matter of men being weak, but a matter of being obedient unto the Word of God. The Word of God teaches us that all mankind is weak, within his own self; and this does not just mean men, but women also. It seems that many women and girls love to wear as little clothing on their bodies as possible. It seems as though many of them would go completely naked if they could do so. Every where that you look, women and girls are speaking of rape and molestation. I think that if they do not have the self-respect to properly dress themselves when they go out into the public, then they have no right to complain at what is said about them, or about the sorrow that they bring upon their own bodies. For all that they are doing, is placing temptation before every man and boy that has to look at them. No woman has any right to call a man weak, when they have no more self respect than to tie a couple of rags around their body when they leave the house. It seems to me that they are just as guilty before God as men, if not more.

I think alot of churches choose to ignore the fact the Bible was written a long time ago and that things have changed and woman can dress modestly without wearing long dresses and scarves on their heads. Yes, I think a good majority of men are that weak, they are just made that way.

It was captivating, and I realized for the first time that immodest dress gets in the way of seeing a woman for whom she is. Immodest outfits might attract a man to a girl's body, but it distracts him from seeing her as a person. As one man said, "If you want a man to respect you, and perhaps eventually fall in love with you, then you must show him that you respect yourself and that you recognize your dignity before God."

A woman who dresses modestly inspires a guy in a way that I'm not ashamed to admit I cannot explain. I suppose it is safe to say that it conveys your worth to us. When a woman dresses modestly, I can take her seriously as a woman because she isn't preoccupied with clamoring for attention. Such humility is radiant. Unfortunately, many women are so preoccupied with turning men's heads that they overlook their power to turn our hearts.

Some men are, some women are, depending how they were raised. Now my father and mom would have killed me if I wore some of the things they wear today. I couldn't go out of the house for months. My father bought most of my clothes. and if I bought something he had to approve it before I wore it.Sociaity doesn't give a rats any. Sexual imorality is running ramped. Parent are not parents anymore. Give a kid a 100 just to get them out of their hair. Am I not right.

YES !!!!

Before I discovered why, I literally was not in control of my libido.

It was the estrogen injected into cows to make them produce milk well beyond their lactating cycle.

Once I stopped drinking milk (my favorite drink), I regained control and no longer have issues in this regard.

I imagine there are many men who don't know why they simply can't control themselves.

I imagine many of the sexual predators out there just haven't figured this out.

I know it doesn't affect all men, but it sure did affect me big time, and . . .
