Yes, its one of the side effects - which is why the cigarettes taste nasty and you'll probably lose weight also. If it persists or you can't stand the taste of anything, talk to your doctor - he might be able to counter that with something.. not sure.

One of the lesser side effects (less and 1/2 of 1%) of zyban is a change in taste. I only know this because I took zyban a few years ago to quit smoking and everything tasted like I was chewing on tin foil. I read the fine print that came with the meds and lo and behold there it was at the bottom of the list. So I'm going to have to assume that in your case its also the drug making things taste funny. This lasted about a month then everything went back to normal. Hope this helps.

Not everyone has this side effect with Wellbutrin, but yes, it can cause a change in how things taste. Some say it is an acidic taste. That is one of the reasons it works well in quitting smoking.

I never noticed that with wellbutrin, just that I couldn't sleep well. Now lunesta, that I have a funny tinny flavor in my mouth, but it's not unbearable for a good night's sleep.

yep that is what is suppose to do, if you are trying to stop smoking. If you are using it as an anti-depressant talk to your doc about taking something else. for the time being just drink lots of water and brush your teeth a lot. That's what go me through.
