They're from Nepal and Northern India. They're recruited by the British Army. From what I understand the selection is very tough. Talk to a British Army recruiter to see if you might qualify, and where you should go.

If you are not a native Gorka / Gurkha then you wont get in, its a very rigorous selection process including a stringent medical as T.B. is rife in the hill tribes.
