Actually, even remember a few western states that had NO speed limit during daylight hours!
After the US forced the 55 MPH limit on Nevada (by threatening to withhold Federal highway funds), I remember reading in Road and Track of a Ferrari driver receiving a speeding ticket for exceeding 150 MPH, and having to pay a $5 fine.

No, I am old enough to remember no posted limit on certain highways, like I-15 between Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

I recall Idaho and Montana had 80 miles per hour. But never remember 120. I do believe you
