Forever is a LONG time. Before one offers to love someone FOREVER, then there has to be a VERY good and strong foundation of love and trust built up before that offer is to be made. People are too quick to make that offer of FOREVER LOVE without realizing the implications of such a pledge. It BINDS you to that other person for ETERNITY, and eternity is an awful LONG time to be in a relationship with someone that you may find out in a few years, may have a LOT if IRRITATING qualities that are hard to live with. I think a pledge of love just for the rest of life are MORE than enough. If, when the couple meet in the "afterlife" they STILL wish to remain together as a couple then they can decide to continue their partnershhip beyond that. One thing for sure, IF they DO agree on the in the afterlife, you CAN be sure that the love IS a very strong one and that the relationship is built on the most solid of foundations, A lifetime of loving and caring for each other. Loving forever is just what it means but good luck finding it today! I know i'm capable of such love. This is hard for most because it really means to give everything that you are without counting the cost and love without unrealistic expectation or not holding someone prisoner of your desperation but letting them freely be themselves and accepting their good, forgiving their mistakes and being loyal to the end of all ends. Are you willing to do it? I wish you true love that you can wear as a seal upon your heart and sleeve.

Loving forever means loving another throughout this lifetime, and then continuing that loving once the corporeal bodies no longer are able to house the souls who loved so deeply.
I would really like to find that kind of love. Phew. That would be something else. Damn skippy.

to me, it indicates a love that is not dependent on the external, the temporal, the material...like the love of a parent for their child, the love of God for humanity-it's a love that endures regardless of circumstances...
