Spread peanut butter on a cracker. Put the pill in the middle of the peanut butter. Add a little more PB and then a top cracker and give it to her. This works every time with my dog.

My dog needs pills too. BIG red capsoles for her. All I do is get a handful or less of dog canned wet food and wad it into a ball. Then I stick the pill(s) in the middle. It is so soft, most dogs will just inhale it instead of taking the time to chew it and discover the pill. This may sound silly, but dont let her see you in the process of making the wet food treat and putting the pill in. Some dogs notice it (not mine though). What you could do is in the morning prepare the wads of wet food for the day while she is outside or something. Hope she gets her medicene!

I've bought a pill gun that works pretty good. You insert the pill into the end of this thing that resembles a syringe, then insert it into the mouth as far as you can then push the plunger to shoot it down the throat. I've also used canned dog food. I give a spoon full then put the pill in the next spoon full & they gobble it up. That's the only other suggestions I have.

Crush and mix in canned dog food.
Dissolve in water and give with a syringe.
Use a pill gun.
Roll the top lip over the top teeth so she can't bite down and push the pill to the back of her tongue.
It sometimes helps to have the dog up on a table(if she's small enough).

Can you crush the pill and put it into cream cheese or disguise it in some other way?
And take the time to desensitize your dog to touching her around the mouth - hopefully you don't have to 'pill' her any more, so you can just give her treats for tolerating your hands near her mouth. If she seems uncomfortable (ears pinned, yawning, lip licking, or growling) then please back off. Don't make her have to show you that she doesn't like being touched - work with her patiently and she'll be fine.

Trying wrapping the pill in a slice of cheese or slightly moistened bread. It helps the pill slide down smoother. Dogs are just like kids. Don't let them see what you are doing. My dog wouldn't take his pill until I started preparing it when he was outside. He then didn't know that his "treat" was actually his pill. Ask the vet if the pill can be crushed. Some meds lose their effectiveness when crushed. Just get creative in what you put it in.

Wrap it in cheese. They love that
Another trick is to stick your thumb all the way towards the back of her mouth, feeling the sides until there are no more teeth. That will help you to hold the mouth open until she finally gives up. Your vet might also have suggestions or be able to offer you something like a syringe to pop the pill in there. Best of luck.

Try wrapping the pill with peanut butter. Its so sticky that they can't get the pill out of the peanut butter. This is the only thing that works for my dog. He'll spit it out of anything else, but not the peanut butter. You don't even need a lot of it, just enough to smother the pill.

I have used marshmallows. I push it down in the marshmallow and I have another one in my hand waiting to give it to my dogs. The eat the one with the pill down so they can get the other one quick. Also I have used canned food to do it. If it's a pill you can crush, you could crush it and put it on some canned food. Otherwise, push the pill down from the side of her mouth.

One of my dogs loves peanut butter - I use a large tablespoon of peanut butter and put her pills in the center - she gulps it down like a treat - crushing the pill might create a bad taste in the food - and using a food that does not easily dissolve can be dangerous - my second dog does not like peanut butter - I use butter with her - she thinks it is a treat - also
