Teach her right now. The earlier the better (100% agreed with previous posters on that). If you can speak to her in Spanish or surround her with people who do on a consistent basis, she'll learn it like English if she's young enough.

Children learn foreign languages best before they're 10-12 years old... after that it becomes progressively more difficult (but not impossible of course :)

If she already knows the English alphabet, there's no reason she can't learn the spanish. I'd start teaching her right now.

The earlier the better.

Children's brains are designed to learn languages.

The older they get, the less of a spounge their minds become.

I've been trying to learn spanish for years,

My wife whose first language is spanish, waited two long to teach our children spanish.

The best thing you can do is talk, talk, and talk to your child in both spanish and english.

Let her mind absorb the languages, she will not be confused as she grows up.

In Europe you have children learning 3 to 4 languages as they grow up.

PLease give your child the gift of multi languages.

My answer is the sooner the better, but take it slowly. Children learn new things amazingly fast, but as you said yourself, you don´t want to confuce her. You will notice when she is ready for new words and pronunciations. I´m sure you will succeed!
