This is what I do for my skin when acne and blackheads appear, and this really works well:
- Before I do anything, I wash my hands and face with Dove soap.
- Then I take 1/4th of a cup of salt and fill it with warm water until the water is 1 cm. above the salt.
- I let the salt chunks dry on my face the wash off the salt with water then with soap.
- After that I take about 3 teaspoons of oatmeal mix and put them in the blender until the oatmeal is like a fine powder.
- I then apply very warm water to the oatmeal, when you are done, it should look like a paste.
- Apply that to your face until it drys.
- Wash with water and soap.
- This will sound weird but put toothpaste on the spots of acne that are still there, this drys out the oil but this will sting for the first couple of minutes.
-Wash off the toothpaste with soap and voila, you are done!!!

Using a face wash that contain Salicylic acid, or aspirin, works wonders for acne plagued skin. Some women even crush aspirin and blend it with a facial mud, like Rhassoul Clay, for weekly facial treatments.

L'Oreal has a very good facial wash that has Salicyilic acid. Give that a try!

Nose-Strips, try Biore.
Facial Scrub, try Clean & Clear.
A good oil-free moisturizer, or Enzymion. This is fast-acting and the fruit enzymes in it break down oil on the skin's surface- no more shiny noses!

Proactiv works. If you don't want to do that I suggest Nuetrogena's line that minimizes pores. Start with the cleanser, then use the toner, and then use moisturizer in the morning. At night do steps 1 and 2 and then instead of the moisturizer use an acne fighting gel like clearsisl.

A really good product that works for me is called AcneFree. Its basically the generic version of pro-active, but works just as well. It has 4 bottles of different solutions, and is about 20 bucks!

Get a wash ( I like Aveeno) with microbeads to help exfoliate your skin. Wash after you have been in the shower long enough for the steam to open up your pores, always rinse with cool water to close your pores, use a fragrance free lotion (like Aveeno) one for your face to finish up.

Good Luck

your best bet would go to see a dermatologist. i heard proactiv is good, but you won't know unless you try it. i tired proactiv, i personally didn't feel i was getting any results, but than again i don't think i was using it long enough to see actual results. i think w/ any acne med/skincare regime it takes about 3 months and than you start seeing results slowly, but surely. there are a lot of topical gels and creams as well as oral pills, but you need to be properly diagnosed by a dermatologist. their the experts!

Look at the marykay.com web site and research the acne products there and the microdermabraision set. All of them work really well for my son.
