Ouiji boards are for stupid immature people who think it is fun to dabble in something that they do not understand.

Ouija boards are not evil; they're not even supernatural or of occult derivation. They simply respond via the two people pushing the planchette. I have engaged in a Ouija experiment whereby those controlling the planchette closed their eyes, at which juncture the planchette simply remained immobile. Christians tend to regard whatever they fail to comprehend as "evil"; naivete is not an admirable characteristic!

ouija boards are not necessarily "evil" per se, but they are dangerous to play with, and here's why: Using a ouija board to contact the spirit world is, in a way, like making a prank phone call to the spirit world; you don't know who is going to answer your call. The part that really makes a oujia board dangerous is that when you do make contact with "the other side", you can not make that spirit/energy leave when you want it to. It will leave when its ready.

What the poster above said"They're just cardboard and some plastic"

The sin with ouija boards is looking for answers from something else instead of God,the same sin adam and eve were expelled for.

... that's lovely, now unless you have a question then SCRAM.

And what's so evil about contacting spirits? They often are much wiser than we are (having experienced more profound ordeals) and we can learn a lot from them, and them from us. I'm not saying that an ouija board is particularly accurate to the average dabbler, but still...

Things like Ouija boards can be "doorways" to the supernatural.

It doesn't necessarily bring in evil.It just brings in spirits some spirits if they were crazy in life then they might be in the spirit world.Sometimes they just give false messages or warnings.Plus sometimes they get angry when you stop contacting them. You would probably get mad too if you couldn't communicate with people for years then they started communicating with you got scared and suddenly stopped. Also it depends on what kind of board you are using the toys r us kind or some like they used hundreds of years ago. Some were made of wood.

Oh crap, I have to agree with you because I had one and it kept showing back up, kept throwing it out, lol... kinda scary... We ended up gluing it to the bottom of a sewing desk (I'm serious even though it sounds strange), then sold it, lol.. gone but not forgotten... Did you have a bad experience with one???

aren't ouija boards made by Hasbro or Milton-Bradley? It's pretend, fake, boring and everyone knows you just move it with your hands. They are not evil, they have no actual "powers".

Oh, I don't know about that. Personally, I find people who write the possessive article "their" instead of the contraction "they're" (for "they area") to be a much worse influence than ouija boards.

Incidentally, WTF is the difference between mess or play with? Redundant much?

Don't even get me started on punctuation. *sheesh*
