i read once where there is certain body language when a person is lying...
one is touching or rubbing their nose.. can't remember the rest, but if you do a Yahoo! Search for How to Tell When Someone is Lying, you will probably find some sites.

Depends on how well you know them! Usually you can tell by the shifty eyes. They don't make and/or keep eye contact when asked something directly or the seem shiftless in their chairs and sometimes they pace back and forth from leg to leg. This is by no means reason(s) to convict someone, but it's a good reference. If you have to ask if someone is lying then there is little trust and probably something is wrong.

Psychiatrists suggest if someone is lying in coversation they will always look to the right. Pretty useful if the person is in front of you, but practically impossible otherwise. Sometimes variation in the pitch of their voice, trembling, sweatin, increased blood pressure or heart rythym might also give you tell tale clues.
Personally sodium pentothal and a 9mm to the head works a treat.

Its all in body language. If they look up to the right they are lying if they look to the left the are recalling information. Also if they figit or sweat they might lying. Unless they are very good at lying they won't be able to keep their story straight.

i don't think you can tell when someone is lying. because i know this guy who certainly lied because i have proof against it and when he says that it's like he's telling the truth.
no, i don;t think you can tell that, at least not with confident lairs.
you can tell signs from those ppl who get uncomfortable when telling a lie but there are ppl out there who don't think it's wrong and hence show no sign of them telling it's a lie.

The best ways are if they are expressionless, no emotion on their face and won't look you in the eye for very long. There's also this glassy look in their eyes sometimes like their trying to cover the lie so it won't show in their eyes. If they start doing things or saying things they don't usually. The number one tell-all is that they're extremely vague and won't tell you many details.

well if you are dating someone and at first you talk to each other like 3 hours a day, then all a sudden you only talk like 5 minutes a day. and you ask them if things are alright and they say "no" then they are lying. and if they just don't act like they usually do when you talk/are around them then you know something is up.

almost all people have what is called a "tell". obviously, it tells that they are lying. Like a twitch, or that they won't look right at you, or looking at the floor, or talking unusually loud or alot. Also, if they smile while they talk.

They don't look very comfortable when answering and they ussually don't look you in the eyes. If you catch them in a lie and you couldn't tell they were then they probably lie a lot and I wouldn't trust them.
