I recently got a tattoo, this previous tuesday actually, it's now saturday. I'm going on vacation to Las Vegas on Moday-Sunday, and it's clear that i'm going to be out in the blazing sun a lot (my tattoo is on my ankle so it's hard to cover up)

any suggestions on what i can do? is it really bad if i go in the sun right after i got my tattoo? will it fade?

Why not cover it up with some sort of bandage and tape? Being out in the sun with a new tattoo is not a good idea. What if it burns? I'm guessing it hasn't scabbed over yet. Be safe than sorry. You don't want to mess it up.

If the sun is that strong, you will most likely have problems with fading or sun burn, because the tattoo is so new you shouldn't put sunscreen on that area because it will not heal properly and could get infected. It is best to cover it up with a bandage to keep it clean and safe from the sun. It won't look as cool to have the bandage, but if you want the tattoo to last and look cool later, then keep it covered.

After 6 days it's pretty much healed. Just keep putting cream on it and you'll be fine. I live in Colorado and haven't had a new tattoo effected by the sun. We have 300+ days of sunshine here in Denver
