Do you have Early Intervention available in your area? You might be able to get some help with his development through them. Ask your doctor or therapist how to contact them. Has he been thoroughly assessed for problems like lead poisoning?

My heart goes out to you. My granddaughter has had some unusual health problems and I understand how hard it can be to figure out what the problem is. Don't give up. Get another doctor's opinion, research his symptoms on line, keep asking questions at doctor's offices. You're his biggest advocate, so keep investigating til you find out what's wrong.

Perhaps your son is depressed or stressed at learning he has a delay and is not "normal." Give him attention and focus on motor skills he enjoys and is good at.
If your son seems in general to be less energetic than he used to, make sure he is eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, and he's getting regular fresh air and exercise.
