satan gets power from a lot of Christians, actually.

When we speak negatives, we give him power. complain about your finances, it gives him power to make them worse.
Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
I used to think that this verse was talking about bad language. It isn't. It's talking about complaining. Complaining grieves the Holy Spirit because it removes the power of blessing, and replaces it with power for a curse.

Satan has all the power he is ever gonna have, which he had as an important angel, like every thing God created, God doesnt take back what he has given, but compared to God he is powerless, and powerless against those who accept Gods redeeming sacrifice, because He defeated satan over control of the souls, by the actions taken by Jesus Christ in the cross. The only power satan can have is over your soul and even body if you do not believe in God, his redeeming sacrifice, and follow his commandments. Gaining control over souls and people living does not give more powers to satan, all it really does is TRY to defy God and basically helplessly go against Gods plans of salvation of the souls he loves. satan knows his future judgment and punishment is certain. All he gains is to decieve more people into believing in false gods, in believing that your the center of everything, that your god. He wants is vain worship through people who are greedy and want to have just alittle power not knowing that all power gotten apart from God and used apart from Gods will is vain and will lead to your own destruction (even if you dont see it or you wont see it).

Satan has no power to create being the anthesis of life, which is death. Any spirit without a body is helpless in time, including yours and mine. Of course our spirit controls our body; so whatever spirit you admit becomes your ---- What do some Wiccans call it? Yes! Your Control.
And control means bondage.

No, satan only has the as much power as God will let him have, remember Job, when satan told God Job would turn his back on Him. God told satan that he could do anything he wanted to Job but he could not have his soul, and Job would still remain faithful.

Satan has powers? Hmm, and I thought he was a victim, just like us humans. Actually, Satan went out on a limb for us, he defied God and exposed us to the truth - that we can survive without being submissive to an egotistical maniac! Satan is our ally, he gave us our freedom. The Christian church demonised Satan many centuries ago to maintain their manipulative control over the minions.
