Is this a real breed?. My Holly is 10 years old and was described as a miniture J.R. in the ad. My sister laughed her head off and said. you got the runt. Dos'nt matter I love my Holly. My sister later saw ads avertising miniture jack russells Is this a scam. Or a real breed

No such thing, but JRT's as a breed are prone to genetic achondroplasia dwarfism. Usually these are referred to as "shorties". Some less than reputable breeders intentionally breed for dwarfism.

There' s no such thing as Mini Jack Russell, there' s only Jack Russell Terrier, advertisements and pet shop owners always lie to people, don' t ever trust until you have done your research. My friend told me that her dog is what the pet shop owner said a mini pomeranian, and it' s going to remain in the baby size forever!, that' s just lies, to attract people to buy their dogs.

There is no such thing as minature jrt's, just the same as there is no minature yorkies, or chi's. The jrt is either to heights 25cm-30cm or 30cm- 35cm, people who buy/breed the very short legged type jrt are trying to make the breed more appealing by advertising it as a minature jrt.

No, I don't think it is a breed as such as in miniature. Does she have short legs? Maybe that's what they meant. There are shortlegged Jack Russels and then there are Parson Jack Russels, they have long legs.

No such thing. Just a smaller JRT then the standard would say. But there is no mini JRTs. back yard breeders will advertise anything to make a buck.

I have a miniture jack russel x yorkshire terrier....
Shes mainly jack russle and so tiny.

no theres no such thing ,if you breed to smaller type jr together pups will be on the small side ..that's how it done

no such thing.. Jack Russells only come in one size, there are no "mini" JRT's.
