I dreamt that a vile temptress was pretending to iron ( because that just wouldnt happen for real ) while eating a banana with the other hand

Well..dreams are symbolic...maybe the ironing part was your consciousness telling you that you had unfinished business to attend to....the banana means you are hunger to finish whatever this business is. Does that sound okay?
