What do they do? I got 6 on my pinky and 6 on the finger next to my pinky...what do they do?

how long does it normally take to heal? and dose it hurt when they take the stitches out?

They sew it though your skin and bring the skin closer to each other around the cut you got. It forms as an attachment to help increase the healing process and also keep it from getting infected. The skin eventually heals and reattaches together. It doesn't hurt at all when they take the stitched out, when i got stitches i just took them out little by little as the skin pushed them out. As for the healing time, i don't know, it depends on the wound, the bigger the longer.

They hold the skin together so the skin can hea with out a big gash and big scar. It also helps keep germs out and reduces the risk of infection.
