Ringworm is a fungus from the same family of funguses that cause athletes foot. It looks like a circular raised patch on the skin that looks like a worm burrowed under your skin in a circle. It itches and can spread to other parts of your body. No it does not have an affect on your period. It will stay on the skin as long as it is not treated. You can catch this from pets so watch your dogs and cats. You can also just pick it up from the dirt or exposure to someone else who has it. It very itchy and annoying problem and should be taken care. With the proper medication it is easy to get rid of. Talk to your physician.

ring worm is just that. ringworm. it's small,slightly raised areas about the size of a pencil eraser that can get larger w/o treatment. it won't affect your period but it is contagious. it isn't dangerous. i don't know if there is a otc medication for it. check with your doc and get it taken care of.
