In my opinion your entire life, both public and private, should be a form of "worship". By public worship I do not mean attendance in a temple, mosque, church or any building but how you act toward others and the life you exemplify. Therefore, private and public "worship" should be both equally easy and, simultaneously, equally difficult. Anything less than total focus on your belief, whatever that may be (humanism, Islam, Christian, Buddhist, etc.,), would indicate a lack of commitment to your belief system.
May all be at peace.

Private of course. I am thoroughly convinced that the Lord loves me and I a completely free with Him and open with Him..., but, in public, I am still a little aware that "others" are present and maybe looking at my worship. I guess that makes me aware of myself and them more than the Lord.
There have been times when I wasn't self-conscious at all. Also, it makes difference who the worship leader is and definitely with what church or group I am worshipping as to how comfortable it is to be easy.
Wonderful question and as someone already said, when the Holy Spirit gets involved and the "house" IS worshipping, it just don't matter anymore. It IS easier to worship in song with a group for me, but to pour my heart out is more difficult in public.

I feel more comfortable worshiping in private. BUT because I'm human I need help so I go worship in pubic.
I remember being told as a child that going to church is like being in a fire! Each person is coal and when we get together we have a stronger "heat". A coal left to it's self goes cold , but a bunch together stays hot! We all work together uplifting each other and helping each other. Worshiping in public give people strength when so many believe they are wrong for their beliefs. That is why i choose to worship in public.

To worship publicly is to receive the input of others and not be withdrawn into self and think I am the only one that matters. Fellowship of worship is a demand and therefore it is very good for us. We get a much broader picture when we are in public worship. Private worship is personal and not fellowship, so it is important also.

The bible says to not forsake the gathering together, for the purpose of up building each other. Also congregations are often mentioned, so that was the practice. Although private worship, when you are alone, can have an important place in our lives.

The humbleness of private worship...but both, I think are valuable in their own way.
