How old should a child be when you begin to read other books to them? From birth a child should hear the word of God, the Love of Christ, the fruit of the Spirit....all of it. The word of God never comes back void.

Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

The earlier the better. My 30 month old son has been prayed over, sung to, read scripture and christian children stories since he was in my womb. His first words were da-da and amen! Today as a toddler he holds his daddy's and my hand when we say grace and says "thank you-u-u!" Today when I was reading to myself the Bible he walks over and pats my Bible " thats-ah big Jesus." If God is important to you and I believe He is, otherwise what's your reason for asking?......We are accountable before God to raise our children up in the Lord. If we do, we have His promise that "when they are old, they will never depart from it." Noah will have to decide for himself if he wants to follow Jesus, but like I have said since he's blessed my life, "it won't be for a lack of Godly love and training if he chose to rebel." But, I do not believe that will happen at all because my faith and God are tooo big and His Word has never failed us one time.

I start right in the womb and read the Bible and sing Psalms and hymns with the mother.
Then I read baby bible books and on from there according to the ageof the child with Bible toys, puppets, Cds,Dvds, coloringbooks,Children's Bibles, etc.
Then later Children's Church and then Sunday School(many churches have Sunday Preschool or Baby care with "play church".

Well I would say early childhood since they are outrageous fantasy but, you also have to think about all the violence, sex, and other things that responsible parents would never subject their children to, at any age, if it didn't have the title that it has.

my brothers and I were raised on the bible. My youngest brother was reading out loud from the KJ version by 4 years old. I don't think it is ever too early as l ong as you teach them that they need to find answers for them selves as they get older. Teach them to pray and search for themsleves and do not force them as they get older and I say start today.

From birth to and on and on you don't have a beginning its a part of who you are if you chose to be.
The ancient Hebrew children taught their siblings as the were growing up so anytime is the right time

you can start teaching them when ever you feel comfortable. doesn't really matter on the age. i can remember my dad reading me stories from the bible when i was 5 or 6. there are also children's bibles (to help them follow along at a pace they can understand).

Train up your child in the way they should go. You wouldn't wait very long to teach your kid how to eat, or use the bathroom. Why wait to teach your kid the truth, and the way to eternal life. From there you can only hope that your child takes the training. God Bless.

three years old. start with the basic stories like Noah's Ark. the earlier you grab them for Christ, the longer they will stay with Him. it will also make it easier for them to just accept it as truth.
