I see 3 choices here for redecoration:
(1) go with the blue: 1 matching dark blue wall from the bedspread behind your bed as a feature wall.
then: the other 3 walls in a light (pale) yellow along the lines of the yellow in the bedspread.
then: a really bright & distinctive yellow for window trims & also any accessories for your room......lamps, rugs, throw on cushions on the bed. Picture frames do in the green but no more green than that.
This choice would tie the room together & give it an elegant & grown up look with a bit of fun.
2) go with the yellow: all walls in a yellow trying to match the yellow in the bedspread as best as you can. The window trims in white or cream.
then: then you would have a choice for lamps & accessories to be either a really bright yellow or choose a bright green in similar hues as the green of the bedspread.
This choice would make the bedspread the focal point of the room as it would stand out.
(3) go with purple: a shimmering deep purple shade on the wall behind the bed (get the special paint that has the shimmers in it).
then: the other 3 walls in a soft liac.
then: the window trims in the same deep purple but in a satin paint (no shimmer paint for them)
then: all accessories lamps etc in either a bright yellow or a soft yellow.
This would give the room a real lift with a bit of fun in it as well.
I think that any of the above, if chosen, would look fantastic. I have used the colours in the bedspread. That bedspread is a fantastic choice - I love it. It gives you such potential to change your room to one you will love.
So.....you must have good taste to start with. Have lots of fun. Your friends will be envious.

I LOVE that comforter! Get some curtains the same (or similar) color and fabric as the bedspread. And you see that lamp with the green shade in the eBay picture? Get one like that. Get a throw carpet that matches the green in the bedspread, maybe even a shag carpet and put it at the foot of your bed. Find or make some really large silk or paper flowers that will match and put them in a large wicker basket that is shaped like a vase. Get a wicker hamper as a counterpoint. How about a matching blue lava lamp? You can get one cheap at Wal-Mart. One of those round paper light shades would also look great. I saw some recently at Cost Plus World Market. How about a beanbag chair or a retro plastic chair. Check Target or Ikea, they always have cool stuff. Your theme is funky, so remember to keep it that way. Since your walls are pink, you don't want to add too many more colors. Stick with the pink, blue and green. Match the shades as closely as possible. Good luck!

As long as the purple isn't so dark that the black doesn't show up that should be fine. Don't go so dark that it closes in your room either, a lot of time dark colors make a room feel smaller. I think the idea of a collage of pictures and things on the wall is a great idea though. It adds a personal feeling to your personal space. Just don't over do it so it's too busy and cluttered. Good luck.

You have pink walls with that bedspread? Yikes!
I'd pick either the blue or green shade, go a couple shades lighter and paint the walls in that.
It's a totally cute bedding set, BTW!
If you have a pillow or something that goes with the spread, take it to a Home Depot/Lowe's, etc. and match it up with paint samples in the lighter color. Take same item to Linens N Things/BedBath & Beyond and pick out some other items in that color scheme.
Color is good - work with it!

Stuffed animals can make any room look cute. How about some silk flowers in flowerpots or empty bottles? If you have a mirror in your room, put some stickers all around the edge of it. You can decorate with candles too. I like the lamp on the nightstand in the picture. If you already have one, can you paint it to match the comforter? All my ideas aren't expensive so if you get tired of anything, you can replace it. You can be creative, show your personality and let your imagination go wild!

Take your cues from the bedspread and do either a shade of those colors, that shade of green in the bedspread, or a combination. Add an accent color (pink, purple, or royal blue) in the lamp or in the drapes.

1] paint walls the limegreen or turquoise of the bedspread.
2] add curtains in the lime or turquoise [ sheers would be nice ]
3] throw pillows in the spread colors - turquoise, lime green, bright blue
3] add rug, chair, in other color from walls [ turquoise walls with lime rug, chair; and vice versa ]
4] use all frames for paintings, posters, photos, mirrors, in same shade and material [ chrome or brass, walnut or oak,
colored enamel ]
5] all small accessories [ lamps, vase or flower pot, candles, lampshades, matting in art work ] in the turquoise, lime, and bright blue.
6] get rid of all juvenile items [ stuffed animals - maybe keep one, shabby artwork, old toys, games, kid books ] donate them, store them, or throw them out . Check with mom if it is artwork by you - she may save some of it.
7] get a eucalyptus or grapevine wreath and make your own floral decor, using room colors
8] add any other craft you like or can make; or hobby - quilt, beadwork, sewing crafts, afghan, vintage decor in lime or turquoise.

Pick from the orange range of colors to make that bed pop! A vibrant tangerine will work.
