I am in th eprocess of getting my Bachelor's Degree inMarine Biology with the intention of applying for an immigration visa to Oz so I can obtain my Master's at James Cook University in Townsville and with all luck become a full fledged citizen of the great Land Down Under. Anything I can be doing beside getting my degree to help in this process? (Ex. : learn Aussie geography, history, political science topics, etc...)

Any help, tips, ideas will be most appreciated! Thanks in advance.

The Department of Immigration website should be able to help http://www.immi.gov.au All the different types of visa are discussed there and the requirements for each.

James Cook is one of the two universities specialising in marine biology. It deals mainly with tropical waters (for obvious reasons). The other is the Launceston campus of the University of Tasmania which specialises in Southern Ocean and Antarctic biology. Both are excellent schools.
