I've never been there - but you should be able to use the internet to find some of the highlights/hotspots.
But I don't have any doubt that any girl that was with you wouldn't be having a good time.

Never been to Shanghai and don't know anyone who has been, but Hong Kong has a really fantastic light show : ) You could go to a travel agent and get a brochure and see what top places are in it, or even contact their embassy. xx
