I have .rmvb, and .mkv videos on my computer that i would like to convert into .avi files. Somebody told me that you can convert using Real Media Player 10. How do you do so if it is possible?

Thank you =)

the .rmvb extension is for Real Media. It stands for "Real Media Variable Bitrate." That should be simple to convert to .avi. The program that I prefer due to it's simplicity is winavi video converter.

Now .mkv is a matroska codec video. Thats going to be a little more difficult to convert to avi. You would probably have to separate the audio and the video then encode separately. Doom9 is probably the best site out there for guides on video conversion and what not.
